RESTAURANT
& HOSPITALITY FITOUTS
Opening dates. Council inspections. Kitchen power loads. Restaurant fitouts have their own rules and we know them.
WHY HOSPO ELECTRICAL IS ITS OWN THING
Restaurant fitouts have a few things working against them. Tight timelines because every day you’re not open is money you’re not making. Council inspections that have to be passed first time. Kitchen equipment that pulls more power than most retail spaces ever see.
We’ve fitted out everything from 20-seat hole-in-the-wall cafes to full-service restaurants in Ponsonby, Britomart, and across the suburbs. We know the kit, we know the inspectors, and we know how to get you open on time.

WHAT’S IN A RESTAURANT FITOUT
KITCHEN ELECTRICAL
Power for ovens, fryers, grills, cool rooms, ice machines, dishwashers. Properly sized circuits so nothing trips during dinner service.
FRONT OF HOUSE LIGHTING
Dimmable, scene-able, branded. Whatever your designer specced, we’ll wire it.
POS & BACK OFFICE
Data and power for terminals, printers, payment systems.
SWITCHBOARD SIZED FOR HOSPO
Most existing boards aren’t sized for a commercial kitchen. We’ll spec what you actually need.
REFRIGERATION AND COOL ROOM ELECTRICAL
Proper circuits and disconnects for chillers, freezers, walk-in cool rooms.
WE WORK TO YOUR OPENING DATE
Tell us when you need to open. We’ll work backwards from there with your builder, fitout team, and council inspector to make it happen.
Out of hours, weekends, whatever it takes.

frequently asked questions
How long does a restaurant electrical fitout take?
Depends on the size and scope. A small cafe might be 3-5 days of electrical work spread across the build. A full restaurant with commercial kitchen is more like 2-4 weeks. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at quote stage.
Can you work alongside our designer or shopfitter?
Yes. We work alongside designers, architects, and shopfitters every week. Send us your plans and we’ll spec the electrical to match.
Do you handle council inspections?
Yes. We arrange and attend the electrical inspection, hand over all compliance documentation, and make sure you’ve got what your CCC needs.
Can you work overnight to avoid impacting trade?
For existing restaurants doing a refit or upgrade, yes. We’ve done plenty of overnight work to keep restaurants trading during reno.
